Course Description

A biomarker is a characteristic that is objectively measured and evaluated as an indicator of a normal biological process, a pathological process, or a physical response to a therapeutic intervention. Biomarkers are used exclusively for diagnosis, monitoring, or stratification of patients in clinical trials. This module will provide an overview of biomarkers and their role in the drug development process. Case studies will be used to provide context.
