Vanderbilt volleyball is back—and rising fast. Under first-year head coach Anders Nelson, a rising star in the profession and a key architect of the SEC’s first national championship volleyball program, the Commodores are ushering in a bold new era on West End. In its reinstated debut season, Vanderbilt surged into the national spotlight, ranking among the country’s attendance leaders and closing the year with momentum—winning four of its final seven matches and reaching the quarterfinals of the Allstate SEC Tournament. Nelson’s impact was immediate and historic, guiding senior middle Jackie Moore to All-SEC Second Team honors, SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition, and a place in the record books as Vanderbilt’s first-ever drafted volleyball player.
